The two participants of BR finished their documentary. It’s available in two parts here and there.
Phillip sent along some statistics: 40 people (= 20 teams) started in Augsburg, 12 teams arrived on Friday [accordingly Teo and me must have been no. 12, not 11], 7 teams arrived on Saturday, 1 team was still stuck in Villach on Saturday evening, so they decided to camp at the Wörthersee in Austria.
I’m also nearly finished with my (written) report. ;)
Here are the photos I took with my mobile. Due to my backpack was maximum loaded and, of course, weight reasons I abandoned to carry my big camera with me. But I hope to get some of Teo’s photos soon.

Teo sent along some nice shots. I added them below.

Meeting in front of Augsburg’s town hall

Met some of us near on-ramp Augsburg-East

On the way to motorway-station Munich-Vaterstetten

Beautiful scenery on the way to Villach (Clouds!)

Beautiful scenery on the way to Villach and a long jam to the other direction

Beautiful scenery on the way to Villach

Beautiful scenery on the way to Villach

In the morning I noticed I had slept in an anthill. (I’m not sure if there is any ant on this picture.)
Teo’s photos:

Hitchhikers begin to gather at Augustus fountain

Awaiting the first hitch (funny: “passed” is written on the back of the car)

At (Rasthof) Dachau, still confident

Browsing the internet for an alternative

Hiking to Munich-Vaterstetten listening to good music

Enjoying scenic views in the old woman’s car

In fact she was chaotic but lovely

Goodbye at Ljubljana central station
(“Take a photo in front of this crazy house”)
This is the transcript of my twitter messages (“tweets”) and one first photo. A complete report will follow, maybe tomorrow when I’m well-rested.
Backpack is filled, but something to eat has to find room too. In a moment I start to the city. I have to buy a hopefully small map there. It does not rain. 2010-06-04 08:24
More than 50 people in front of the town hall. Good mood. We are no. 7. Teo comes from Slovenia, optimal conditions. Sun is shining. 2010-06-04 09:51

Meeting in front of Augsburg's town hall
Started at 10, now we sit in a threesome in a bus to the highway. From there we’ll go via Salzburg (A), Villach (A) to Bled (SL). It is hot. 2010-06-04 10:20
With a kind craftsman from Augsburg to Dachau exit. Now we wait for someone to Salzburg. The weather is awesome, good conversation. 2010-06-04 13:28
Changed our plans, went to Munich and from the centre now on the way to motorway-station Vaterstetten. Have to come by some kilometers now. The first teams could alredy be there. 2010-06-04 15:26
Thanks to mortek for the reminder that twitter only logs 140 characters.
Team 7 crossed the border to Austria. Got a nice lift with an older woman to Villach from Munich-Vaterstetten which was actually very difficult to reach. 2010-06-04 18:12
This 73 years old woman from Hannover is a doozie. Somewhat kinky but on the ball. She goes to Turkey for one year, learned turkish and english some weeks ago. 2010-06-04 18:16
Motorway-station in front of Villach. The squaw was really crazy at the end. Met eight other teams, seems to be the end of the world. Some others wait since hours. 2010-06-04 20:16
They all go north. The others gave already up. Seems like we’ll also have to camp here. :/ 2010-06-04 21:15
Sheer madness. A bosnian trucker from Slovenia takes us across the border. We just wanted to give up. 2010-06-04 21:54
Team 7 passed the border to Slovenia in a truck. We’ll get off at the Bled exit and try to reach the destination before midnight. 2010-06-04 22:28
5 minutes after the exit hitched for the last 6 km to Bled. Wicked. So we do it before 12. 2010-06-04 22:48
Arrived one hour ago. Happy. Tired. 11th place. 2010-06-05 00:21
Today chilling at the lake. In the evening to Ljubilana with Teo. Tomorrow back home by train. 2010-06-05 12:00
On the track back home by train. Rail replacement bus service and delay. Will be late. Mobile’s battery is empty. 2010-06-06 18:06
At long last Salzburg, by coach to Munich. Entertainment by the bus driver. Everything is easy 2010-06-06 22:19
Finally at home. WOW! 2010-06-07 01:37
